Mobile Phones Complete Today A 40-Year Journey

Today is being celebrated all over the world as the 40th Anniversary of the first mobile phone device. In the city of New York the first call was made with a Motorola handset. The first caller was an employee of Motorola, Martin Copper.
However, that device was not as technically advanced as today’s. It was a nine inch long device with 1KG weight and used to take 10 hours time for recharging for only 35 minutes talk time.
It was the US where these mobile devices were used in cars. And it became almost commonplace in 50s and 60s
