O2 has announced the launch of a new 24 month tariff, O2 Refresh, designed to allow customers to upgrade their device at any time during their contract.
On Refresh customers will be able to separate their airtime agreement from the handset cost and, as a result, replace the device whenever they wish after paying off any balance remaining on the original handset.
It claims the new tariff, which is available from Tuesday,‘simplifies’ the subsidy model and allows customers to pay off how ever much of the phone price they want to upfront, reducing monthly payments.

The airtime side of the deal will cost either £12 a month for 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data; £17 for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data or £22 for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2GB of data.
